From the very beginning of the concession, Fraport Twin Star Airport Management PLC has been working in line with human resources development, increasing its employees’ qualification, career development and staff consulting in different social directions. The operator of the airports in Varna and Bourgas has been investing exclusively in the training and development of its staff and relies on the quality of the services rendered. Our employees and workers are the company’s most valuable asset. In order to provide the operation of the airports, the company relies on experienced specialists.

The Human Resources department team comprises 9 specialists and is managed by the Chief coordination director. The deputy department head is responsible for the company training centre, the elaboration of the annual programme and the training budget, for the in-house training programmes, the programmes for clearance for self-contained work, the language training in the company, the adaptation and development programmes, as well as for the registration, validation, organisation and control of all participations of company employees in trainings, seminars, conferences and specialisations. The Human Resources expert is in charge of the analysis and planning of the company personnel, the recruit and selection of specialists, for conducting the annual performance evaluation, the trainee programmes and the career development centre. The Project Manager is responsible for all projects in the field of human resources management – financing from European funds, voluntary health insurance, internal communication in the company (in-house newspaper, intranet), the social programmes for employees, sports and other events, as well as for the creation of HR Help desk in the future for consultation and supporting the company employees. The Employment Contracts and Remuneration expert, Head of “Labour Relations” department, is responsible for all activities connected with employment contracts and remuneration of the company employees – Bourgas Airport, Varna Airport and the Central Administration. The HR specialist is responsible for the labour relations with the employees of Varna Airport – labour contracts, job descriptions, personal files, leaves of absence, work and personnel timetable, etc. Two economists from the Labour Organisation department are in charge of the payroll accounting for all company employees, the preparation of the retirement documents, the processing of all sick leave medical certificates, statistical reports, and the issuance of official income statements of employees, etc. As at present an employee is working in the department who is in charge of the recruit of seasonal personnel at Bourgas Airport, the preparation of documents for signing employment contracts, processing of leaves of absence and sick leave medical certificates. The department is managed by a Human Resources manager, who is responsible for the company’s overall strategy and policy in the field of human resources management.
